Who we are

PickMyPuck is an online espresso-gear guide. Contact: TODO: Stan's contact email.

Information we collect

  • Setup builder chat: the text you type and the options you choose (budget range, drinks, space, experience) are sent to our server and then to an AI provider to generate a reply. Currently that's Cloudflare Workers AI. Please don't enter personal or sensitive information. TODO: confirm provider and whether any chat logs are stored; currently none are stored by our code.
  • Turn-limit cookie: we set a small first-party cookie that counts how many chat messages you've sent today, so the free assistant stays available for everyone. It contains no personal information.
  • Hosting logs: the site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare processes technical data such as IP addresses and request details to deliver and secure the site. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Affiliate links and cookies

When you click an affiliate link (for example, to Amazon or a brand's store), that retailer or affiliate network may set cookies or use similar technology to record that you came from PickMyPuck, so a commission can be credited. Those cookies are governed by the retailer's or network's own privacy policy. We don't receive your name, address, or payment details from them; we only see aggregated sales and commission reports.

Analytics

We do not currently use third-party analytics. TODO: update this section if analytics are added.

How we use information

To answer your setup questions, keep the service running and secure, prevent abuse, and improve the site. We don't sell personal information.

Your choices

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, though the chat limit may reset. You can use the guides without using the chat.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

We'll update this page when our practices change and revise the "last updated" date.
